3. Research Interests

Our lab is principally engaged in new chemistry and methods towards functionalized material surfaces/ interfaces. The research in our lab is highly multidisciplinary and aims to resolve fundamental challenges in material surfaces by exploiting controllable protein aggregation and adhesion. ### Achievement Transformation and Enterprise Incubation

Focusing on basic research, the team has successively incubated 2 national-level high-tech enterprises (Xi’an Meiyou Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Qingxiu Ecological Technology Co., Ltd.). It has also promoted the industrialization of a number of leading technologies and products, including the novel protein-based coated dentin/enamel regeneration technology applicable in clinical practice and protein-based pesticide reduction additives scalable for agricultural crops. These achievements have been extensively reported by media outlets such as *People’s Daily*, *China Science Daily*, *Xi’an Daily*, *Xi’an Evening News*, People’s Network, and Shaanxi Network.
